The Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) protests the arrest and detention of the Channel 44 Tv journalist Brian Ssenkumba who was arrested by the Police this morning from Kabuusu-Lubaga Division while in line of duty.
Ssenkumba was covering a story of NUP supporters when he was arrested and detained. His work gadgets including a camera, phones and ID were impounded by the detaining Police Officers.
His arrest and detention is illegal, and therefore, we demand for his immediate un-conditional release.
